Finding Your Perfect Ring Size

We know how special it is to choose a ring—whether it's for a surprise proposal, a gift for someone you love, or a well-deserved treat for yourself. Along with choosing a stunning design, getting the right fit is just as important.

With years of experience crafting custom rings, our team has helped so many customers find their ideal size with ease and confidence.

That’s why we’ve put together this simple guide—to take the guesswork out of sizing and help you feel excited (not stressed!) about your new piece. Let’s find your perfect fit, together.

Measure a Ring You Already Own

  1. Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger where you (or your partner) plan to wear the new ring.
  2. Place that ring over the size circles on our chart and find the one where the inside edge of your ring perfectly lines up with the circle.
  3. Once you’ve found the right match, use our Ring Size Chart to see which size corresponds to that diameter.

Visit a Jeweller

For the most accurate ring size, we recommend stopping by your local jeweller. They can measure your finger using a professional ring sizer.

  1. Be sure to ask for both your ring size and the internal diameter in millimetres.
  2. Let them know it's for an engagement ring so they use the correct width sizer.

Once you have the measurement, you can easily find your size using our Ring Size Chart below.

Measuring Tips from our expert Jewellers

To help you find the perfect ring size, our expert jewellers share some handy tips:

  1. Measure your finger at the end of the day when it’s naturally a little bigger from daily activity.
  2. Take a few measurements over several days to factor in changes caused by temperature or swelling.
  3. Keep in mind that wider bands usually fit a bit tighter, so you might want to go up a size.
  4. If you’re stuck between two sizes, it’s usually more comfortable to choose the larger one.
  5. Remember, your dominant hand’s fingers tend to be slightly bigger than the other.

Planning a surprise proposal? Here’s a little secret: “borrow” a ring your partner wears on their ring finger and use our printable ring sizer to find the size—just don’t forget to return it before they notice!

Ring Sizing FAQS

Can a ring be resized easily after it’s made?

Yes! Most rings can be resized, but it depends on the design and material. Simple bands are easier to adjust than intricate ones.

How can I find out my partner’s ring size without spoiling the surprise?

Try borrowing a ring they already wear on that finger or ask a close friend or family member for help. You can also use a ring size guide or have them try on rings casually.

How reliable is measuring your ring size at home?

Measuring at home can give you a good estimate, but it’s not always 100% accurate. It’s best to double-check with a professional if you want a perfect fit.

Should I trust a jeweller to measure my ring size?

Absolutely! Jewellers have the right tools and experience to measure your finger accurately and recommend the best size.

How much can a ring be resized up or down?

Typically, rings can be adjusted by about one or two sizes. Bigger changes might be possible but can affect the ring’s strength or look.
